JCC at Home: Membership & Community Services

Add yourself to our virtual community!
Download the “I Am Your JCC” sign, take a selfie and post to your social media account. Remember to tag @LVJCC and use #iamyourjcc.

We are committed to providing our community with as much help as we can in this challenging time. The JCC is assembling a Volunteer Task Force to aid our community members with making phone calls, running errands, delivering meals and other services they may need. If you are interested in helping provide critical services, please fill out the form below.

If you are in need of these critical services or know of someone who might, please contact Jewish Family Service at (610) 821-8722 or [email protected].

Did you know you can support the JCC while you shop online? It easy to do and doesn’t cost you anything. To get started, simply visit smile.amazon.com and choose “Jewish Community Center of Allentown” as your preferred charity. Amazon will automatically donate 0.5% of every purchase you make.

For more information about membership dues and early childhood, after-school, and other programs and events, please click here.

We will continue to work with our local and national partners to actively assess the future situation and adjust our services accordingly. We ask for your patience and encourage you to check for ongoing updates via e-mail, social media and our website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our staff will be available remotely as much as is possible.

The spread of the coronavirus is having significant implications on life in the U.S., across the globe and in our own community. While it is still too early to determine what the long-term impact will be, we know that the most vulnerable in our community will be the hardest hit. In addition, we are looking at both short and long-term needs for our Jewish Community Center, Jewish Day School, Jewish Family Service, various engagement programs and beyond. We want to thank you for your continued support. As the COVID-19 crisis continues and we begin to learn more about the impact on our agency, we want to share some updates. Based on state guidance, the JCC will be unable to reopen on March 30 as we originally planned. Given the state of uncertainty regarding the current stay-in-place order and mandated closures, we do not currently have a timeline to resume operations.

Community is our middle name. We ask that you stand together with us through your continued support. Not only does our community need us, but we also need our community now more than ever. We long to be together, and we are excited to turn our attention toward creating our new “JCC At Home” online community. In the past two weeks, we have seen hundreds of community members participate in online programs like Virtual Shabbat, Yiddish Club, fitness and recreation activities, cooking, and story time. We have more plans for the coming weeks to keep our members engaged and provide valuable services. Learn more at lvjcc.org/JCCatHome.
