GROUPx

Here at the J, we offer our members access to a variety of group exercise (GROUPx) classes. Our GROUPx programming is designed to cover a range of exercises suitable for all ages and skill levels, as well as, encourage the development of community. Classes are offered every day of the week and at varying times in order to best meet your scheduling needs. End your day with a relaxing yoga class. If you're looking for something to get your heart pumping, check out our cycling class. Not sure which class is best for you? Jenn Dietz

Education: Bloomsburg University, BA Psychology

Certifications:

  • AAAI Certified Personal Trainer
  • AFAA Certified Personal Trainer
  • ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor

Fitness Philosophy:

Practice FUNctional Fitness. I am a strong believer that the body was made to MOVE!  Once you stop moving, it’s harder to get going again, so move every day! To borrow a quote from a world-class trainer I  had the privilege of learning from… “In fitness we make the easy things harder so that the hard things will be easy”.

Fun Facts: I used to coach elementary Cross Country and Track & Field (but I really don’t like to run). I also love to cook & eat!

Fitness Philosophy:

I have a passion for all things Zumba. I started taking Zumba classes after my 100+ pound weight loss in 2007. My main goal is to make the participants comfortable with becoming a better version of themselves via Zumba classes.

A combination of cardio and strength training

CHAIR YOGA
A comfortable and accessible yoga class for beginners and the independently mobile.

CIRCUIT
A series of stations of exercises to build strength and muscular endurance

CORE AND MORE
A combination of pilates for the core and upper body and leg work using dumbbells

CYCLING
Cardio workout on indoor stationary bikes utilizing resistance and speed changes

PILATES
Strengthen and tone muscles with this low to no impact workout

 

STRENGTH & CORE
A 30-minute class to build muscle strength and improve balance with a focus on core exercises.

SILVER SNEAKERS CLASSIC
Designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and daily living activities

TOTAL BODY RESET
A variety of exercises including body weight, speed and agility, and weight resistance training.

YOGA
Spiritual discipline including breath control, simple meditation and postures

ZUMBA
An interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party that takes the "work" out of workout
