Adult Swim Lessons and Classes

All ages and skill levels can benefit from aquatic exercise. Working out in the water is a great way to get and stay in shape while protecting joints. Build your strength, endurance, and flexibility through resistance exercises using our water weights, hydro-tone equipment, and other aquatic equipment.

The JCC offers its swimmers access to both deep and shallow water workout opportunities, as well, as a range of aqua fitness classes including Aqua Aerobics, Aqua Arthritis, and Silver Splash. All of our aquatics class are taught by certified instructors and are free for members.

Adult Group Swim Lessons

  • Saturdays | 9:30am | 4/11 - 5/30 (8 weeks)
  • Non-Members/Participants: $250 | JCC Members: $210

This small group experience will help conquer your fear of the water while learning the basic swimming skills everyone should master with the support of others. | REGISTER


American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course

  • Sundays | 9am-2pm (4/12, 4/19 & 4/26)
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays | 5-8pm (4/14, 4/16, 4/21 & 4/23)
  • Ages: 15+
  • Non-Members/Participants: $360 | JCC Members: $300

This 2-week course teaches the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies at a swimming pool facility. Want to work as a lifeguard? Participants who successfully complete the course will get a chance to interview with the JCC Aquatics Department.


Aquatic Personal Training

  • Sunday-Saturday | All Ages | Ages 12 and up
  • 30 minutes by appointment
  • Non-Members/Participants: $50 | JCC Members: $40
  • 5 and 10 session packages available

Personal training in the water provides constant resistance, support for balance, and less aerobic stress than traditional land training. We will utilize jogging, water weights and resistance exercise to create highly individualized programs from competitive to arthritis-friendly workouts.   • Due to high demand, advance registration is required. Aquatic group exercise classes are free for all membership types except Senior Silver and Insurance Participants.

Aqua Aerobics

A creative but easy to follow, low impact, water aerobic workout including walking variations, lunges, kicks, and circular movements. | REGISTER

Aqua Dance Party w/ Joyce

  • Tuesdays | 11-11:45am
  • Thursdays | 11-11:45am

Joyce brings all of her fun dance moves into the pool for an awesome low impact aquatic exercise class. Come join the party! | REGISTER

Deep Water Aerobics w/ Ann

  • Wednesdays | 11-11:30am

Aqua Yoga

  • Fridays | 11-11:45am

Aqua yoga classes are gentle and include yoga poses modified for the water featuring gentle movement sequences to help improve balance, chronic pain and relaxation. | REGISTER
