Aquatics Schedule

The indoor pool is open for use by JCC members (50 minute sessions, by reservation only).

Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling the JCC at 610-435-3571.

Friday: 8:00am - 12:00pm

The swimming pool will operate with the following modifications to decrease the risk of Covid-19 spread:

  • During open swim times, the pool may be used for lap swimming only. There will be no family swim or group exercise classes.
  • There may be a maximum of one swimmer per lane, and lanes must be reserved in advance. Lanes may be reserved in advance online or via phone in 50-minute sessions, which includes time for changing and departing the pool area. This will provide staff time to clean the facility between sessions.
  • Locker rooms are not available for use. Swimmers must come with their bathing suit on (or under their clothes), and proceed directly to the pool area. After swimming, the Family Changing Room on the pool deck will be available for use to change back into clothes. Changing must be conducted within the 50-minute sessions.
  • Gathering and socializing is not permitted in the pool or on the pool deck. The lifeguard should only be approached and talked to if necessary for safety. Concerns over the adherence to Covid-19 health and safety policies should be directed to the aquatics office or the Welcome Desk.
  • Masks must be worn at all times except when in the pool, including lifeguards and staff. There should not be any unnecessary individuals in the pool area (i.e., only those actively swimming and necessary staff).

All ages and skill levels can benefit from aquatic exercise. Working out in the water is a great way to get and stay in shape while protecting joints. Build your strength, endurance, and flexibility through resistance exercises using our water weights, hydro-tone equipment, and other aquatic equipment.

The JCC offers its swimmers access to both deep and shallow water workout opportunities, as well, as a range of aqua fitness classes including Aqua Aerobics, Aqua Arthritis, and Silver Splash. All of our aquatics class are taught by certified instructors and are free for members.

Channel Swim Challenge

Our annual English Channel Swim mimics the grueling 20 mile trek from Griz Nex, France to Dover, England. The swim equates to 1,440 pool lengths and participants will have their positions tracked on the facsimile map with weekly progressions.
