Stagemakers Musical Theater Workshop: K-Pop Demon Hunters [FULL - Waitlist Started]

This workshop is a great way to experience musical theater! Whether trying it for the first time or honing their skills, kids will explore acting, singing, and dancing without the commitment to a full Stagemakers production. The 4-class workshop culminates with an in-class showcase all themed for singing and dancing to their favorites from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters. The Suzuki Method is a worldwide approach to music education developed by violinist and music educator, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki that emphasizes learning by ear before reading music, allowing children to develop strong listening skills and natural technique from the beginning. Kids will explore the art of cupcake decorating in this hands-on, creative class led by Miss Rylee. Each week, participants will learn new decorating techniques such as piping, experimenting with colors and designs, and practicing their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Young fans of Taylor Swift are invited to a fun, creative, and music-filled experience! Each week will be themed around a different Taylor Swift era, giving participants the chance to craft bracelets inspired by that era while testing their knowledge in themed trivia. AQUATICS
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course
- Mondays & Tuesdays | 10am - 5pm

- Ages: 15+

This course teaches the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies at a swimming pool facility. Participants must pass the prerequisite swim test and the final exams. All course materials will be provided. | REGISTER
Want to work as a lifeguard? Participants who successfully complete the course will get a chance to interview with the JCC Aquatics Department.
NEW: Dive-In Movie Night at the Pool

Meet Our Instructors

Annelies Dougherty
Suzuki Violin
Annelies is a passionate violinist and Suzuki educator with a degree in Music Education and Music Therapy from Duquesne University. She has trained extensively in the Suzuki Method, studying Books 1, 2, and 3 with renowned teacher trainers Linda Fiore and Kristen Marshall. Annelies currently teaches elementary general music in the Parkland School District and serves as Administrative Director of the Ogontz Suzuki Institute. Her teaching is rooted in the Suzuki philosophy that every child can learn, combining artistry, patience, and joy to help students grow as both musicians and individuals.

Chris Carchedi
Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums & Songwriting
Chris has over 17 years of experience playing and performing guitar, drums, bass and piano. He has been a songwriter for 12 years, and has been teaching all of these skills for seven. Chris graduated from Penn State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management and is the guitarist/vocalist and main songwriter in the band Airspace. He loves teaching and is always excited to work with students who enjoy music and learning as much as he does.

Jenn Patchen
Voice
Jenn is a Mezzo-Soprano who holds a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in Vocal Performance from Moravian University, and an associate’s degree in theatre from Northampton Community College. Her favorite role that she had ever played was “Madame De la Grande Bouche” in her High School production of Beauty and the Beast. In addition to various musical theater productions, she has also performed in multiple cabarets. As a teacher, Jenn wants to help the younger generation express themselves through their voice and music.
