Our Mission
The Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley sharpens the mind, strengthens the body, and inspires the spirit of the entire community through social, education, recreation, and wellness programs instilled with Jewish values, culture and traditions.
Our History
The JCC has been an integral part of the Lehigh Valley Jewish community since its founding in 1918. Throughout our 100 year history, we have grown roots that reside in the loving and welcoming nature of our community. The JCC has become our “neighborhood,” a place where Jewish and secular values and traditions can be shared actively in a warm, comfortable, vibrant environment.

Our Values
Here at the J we try to incorporate core Jewish values within all of our programming - something we call viewing life through a Jewish lens. They are what motivate us to strive to better ourselves and give back to our community. These values are commonly present in all cultures and societies and can be found in something as simple as children learning to share a toy or cleaning up after themselves. These core values share the importance of being kind, accepting others, and giving back to their community.
- Respect (Kavod)
- Healing the World (Tikkun Olam)
- Charity/Giving Back (Tzedakah)
- Acts of Loving Kindness (Gemilut Hasadim)
- Compassion (Rahamanut)
