Membership Agreement

I am applying for membership at the Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley (“JCC”) for use of its facilities, subject to the rules and regulations established for the JCC by its administration, including but not limited to its Terms of Use, Payment & Refund Policy, and Waiver, Release & Indemnification Agreements. I further have read and understand the following:

  • If I choose to cancel my membership, I must give 30 days’ written notification. I will be responsible for all fees regularly due in the 30 days after such notification is provided.
  • Membership fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. There are no refunds for non-usage of membership privileges.
  • Membership services, availability and fees may be modified by the JCC at any time. Fee changes are communicated via e-mail and it is the responsibility of each member to provide a working e-mail address and provide the JCC with updated contact information in the event of a change.

Payment & Refund Policy

The Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley (“JCC”) collects electronic payment information for recurring and one-time fees, including credit card, debit card, and bank account (EFT) information. By placing electronic payment methods on file, you give the JCC the right to utilize them to settle any outstanding debts or fees due for membership, program registrations and donations without specific prior authorization.

I authorize my bank to honor Electronic Funds Transfers, credit card charges, and/or debit card charges drawn by the JCC to pay fees related to membership, programs, contribution pledges, or merchandise sales. Such transfer shall constitute notice of said payment plus service charges. It is further understood that if an electronic or check payment, including EFT and debit/credit card transactions, is not honored for any reason, the JCC may charge up to $35 per returned payment and may resubmit the amount due, plus any such applicable fees, for payment on a future date utilizing any of the electronic payment methods on file for your account.

I understand that this authorization will be in effect until I notify the JCC in writing that I have revoked this authorization. If such authorization is revoked, the JCC has the right to collect all fees owed immediately, and cancel any and all future programs and services.

In some circumstances, the JCC may issue an account credit that can be used toward future goods and services. The JCC has the right to apply any such credit to outstanding debts and future obligations, including but not limited to, recurring membership and child care fees. Account credits may be used for any fees collected by the JCC, and expire one year from the date of issuance.

In the event that a program or class is cancelled, a refund will be offered to all participants. If the cancellation is a single week, a make-up class may be offered instead. Refunds will be issued as either an account credit or via the original method of payment, at the participant’s choice. If the cancellation is partial (e.g., a single week of a multi-week program), the refund will be prorated. This does not apply to child care closures due to inclement weather, holidays, or other temporary extenuating circumstances. Camp cancellations and refunds may be permitted in line with the cancellation and refund policy specified in that summer’s camp brochure. Otherwise, no refunds are offered for participant cancellations or failure to attend. Membership refunds are not offered regardless of actual facility usage.

Multi-session packages for swimming, personal training, music lessons, or other personal services, expire one year from the date of purchase. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to be aware of this expiration date and contact the JCC to arrange appointments to utilize pre-purchased sessions in the permitted timeframe.

Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement

I release, hold harmless, and indemnify the Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley (“JCC”), as well as its agents and employees, from and against any liability on their part of any kind whatsoever, which may arise in any manner whatsoever, from my use of the JCC’s facilities and/or my participation in the JCC’s programs, events and activities.

I acknowledge that I have carefully read this agreement, am aware of the JCC’s Terms of Use, that I fully understand their contents, and that my release of the JCC, its agents, volunteers, and employees from liability is my voluntary act and is freely made.

Child Care Parent Agreement

All participants in Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley ("JCC") child care programs, including Early Childhood Education, JLounge afterschool program, Camp JCC summer camp, and Vacation Camp programs are subject to the following policies. Families are required to review and accept these policies prior to registering for a child care program. By signing on the next page, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Complete child care policies and procedures are described in the JCC Child Care Family Handbook, which is available on the JCC website. To ensure the safety of our students and the integrity of our program, all parents and children must abide by these policies at all times while enrolled in a JCC child care program.
  2. The JCC is unable to refund any fees, including but not limited to registration fees, tuition, program fees, deposits, materials fees and trip fees, for any reason, including but not limited to absence, illness, vacation, moving out of town, voluntary withdrawal and removal from our program due to violation of JCC policies. Registration fees, if applicable, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and must be paid in full at the time of registration. If you choose to cancel your child’s enrollment, you must give 30 days written notice; any payments scheduled during that time will be owed in full regardless of attendance.
  3. For ECE and JLounge, a family must hold a Family Membership in good standing from the time a child is first registered through the end date of their enrollment; if membership is not maintained, the JCC may cancel the program enrollment. For other programs, a family must hold a Family Membership in good standing for the duration of the time when a child is first registered for the program through the end date of their enrollment to receive member pricing; if required membership is not maintained, the JCC shall adjust future registrations to the non-member pricing. JCC membership is ongoing and independent of child care program enrollment, and it is the member’s responsibility to request changes to their membership status from the JCC’s membership department.
  4. JCC child care programs ends at 5:30 p.m. each day, except for designated holidays in which the programs and our building close at 5:00 p.m. If your child is not picked up by the program’s end time, you will be charged $10 for the first 10 minutes after that time, and an additional $1 per minute thereafter.
  5. Students may be filmed or photographed for marketing, publicity, promotion, and archival purposes. This includes but is not limited to print and digital media, social media, and school photos. We are unable to honor requests to opt out of this policy. By signing this agreement, you give consent for the use of your child’s image and likeness by the JCC for these purposes.
  6. We take great care to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and program participants. Nonetheless, participation in JCC programs, activities, and trips does carry the risk of accidental injury. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that you have been informed of and understand these risks, assume all risks and hazards incidental to these programs and activities conducted at or by the JCC, including transportation by bus and other means, and release from responsibility and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the JCC, its officers, directors, independent contractors, volunteers, and all employees for any illness or injury to you, your children, or your family members that occurs during participation in these programs and activities and use of any recreational facilities at the JCC.
  7. The JCC does not offer medical insurance for accidents or injuries that may result from a child’s participation in our programs or at our facility. It is the parent/guardian’s sole responsibility to maintain appropriate medical insurance for their children.
  8. I give my consent for my child to be transported by the designated JCC transportation company for after-school (JLounge) and field trip (Camp JCC and Vacation Camp) purposes. The JCC reserves the right to cancel the transportation service of any student whose behavior is deemed unsatisfactory and not in the best interest of the JCC’s programs.
  9. Enrollments in ECE and JLounge are on an annual basis, with fees split evenly over the term of enrollment (either 10 or 12 months). By registering for these programs, I hereby agree to pay the full amount due for the enrollment term as per the Programs & Fees sheet and Program Calendar for this school year. These fees are automatically drafted based on your specified electronic payment method on or around the 20th of each month. Please refer to our Payment Policy for additional information.
  10. I understand that my child’s enrollment in a JCC child care program will not be complete until all physical, immunization and other required forms are turned in. If a child does not have these forms turned in to the program office prior to their first day, they will not be able to attend. It is always the parent’s responsibility to have up-to-date forms on file in accordance with JCC policy and state and local laws.
  11. I grant permission to the JCC to assess my child's development and request further evaluation if deemed necessary in the sole discretion of the JCC's staff. If it is determined that a child requires additional staff resources to participate in our program, it will be the parents' financial responsibility to cover required services.
  12. The JCC reserves the right to close its facility due to inclement weather and other extenuating circumstances. There will be no refunds given for such closures. Likewise, there are no refunds for days missed due to illness, vacation, or any other reasons.
  13. We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. In this event, we will make every effort to accommodate your child in one of our other programs, or a full refund will be issued.
  14. JLOUNGE: To keep our program running smoothly, if children are regularly scheduled to participate in a day of J Lounge but will not be attending on a particular day, parents/guardians must communicate the cancellation notice via e-mail ([email protected]) no later than noon on the day of the cancellation. Failure to do so will result in a $25 "no call, no show" fee per day.
  15. ECE & JLOUNGE: I understand that it is my responsibility to download and register for the Brightwheel mobile app (Download: Android  |  Apple), which is used to receive important communications from teachers and staff.
  16. CAMP JCC: Deposits are due at the time of registration, with remaining fees due in full on or before the Payment Deadline published in the camp brochure. Any registrations received on or after the Payment Deadline must be accompanied by payment in full. Cancellations may be permitted depending on timing and circumstance; please review the Cancellation Policy in the camp brochure and on the camp website for complete details. Any permitted cancellations may be subject to an administrative fee.

Guest Pass Policy

We permit guests in our facility to utilize our membership amenities (fitness center, gymnasium, squash courts, locker rooms, and group exercise), under certain conditions. To receive a guest pass for the day, an individual must:

  • Be accompanied by a member (must be present at the Welcome Desk at the time of the guest’s arrival).
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including a liability waiver and visitor form, on their first visit (and subsequent visits as may be necessary)
    • Guests under the age of 18 must arrive with a parent or legal guardian on their first visit to sign paperwork, and are subject to the typical rules for minors as contained in our Terms of Use (a responsible adult must remain in the building with them if under age 13).
  • Guests must pay $10/day per person for access.

Note: At this time, we are not permitting non-members to utilize the pool for lap swim or family swim. Guest Passes may only be used for this purpose if accompanying an active member at the outdoor pool with a family time slot reservation.
