Art Gallery

The Gallery at the J hosts exhibits of various media approximately every six weeks. Our opening event receptions are free to the community and include refreshments and live music. OPENING RECEPTION: “JACQUI CORNETTE (SCHWARTZ) & KIM HOGAN”

Jacqui Cornette revives an ancient technique called "encaustic," a combination of waxes, resins, and pigments that are applied in a molten state, ultimately fused with high heat for permanency, a technique that dates back to 5 BCE. Kim Hogan's art is "a frictionless combination of fantasy, nature and modernity." (Lehigh Valley Style) Her exquisite, joyful compositions convey a childlike wonder and sophistication that seduce and inspire viewers of all ages. Exhibit runs through February 9. Opening event receptions are free to the community and include refreshments and live music by the duo "Just So" featuring Mickey Freeman and Jon Fields.

This one-woman show features the paintings of The Gallery at the J's co-founder and dedicated promoter. Her passion for art has allowed the gallery to flourish, and her artistic talent is stunning. Exhibit runs through May 4.
