Fall Youth Programs Thriving, Winter Programs On The Horizon

by Alaina Schaeffer

Youth programs have had a smooth start to the school year. JLounge students are enjoying the routine of spending time with their friends while getting their homework done so they can enjoy the beautiful autumn weather we have had, including eating their afternoon snack in the Sukkah! The Sensory Room has been a useful asset on a daily basis. There have been a few Vacation Camps so far this year that have been enjoyed by many as we swam, painted pumpkins, colored leaves, played Gaga, and more. Coming up we are looking forward to the various Vacation Camps leading up to our well-known Winter Blast Camp.

Winter Blast Camp brings all the fun to school vacation. From December 26th-29th, our team offers a full day schedule with a great combination of structured activities to keep kids busy all day long. Campers are in for fun each day with activities such as swimming, baking, sports, art projects, and themed seasonal and Jewish Holiday activities.

Continuing to look forward into the winter months, we will be offering some favorite enrichment classes such as Messy Art, Chess Club, and Red Cross Babysitter Training. We will also be offering some new classes this year including JChefs: Intro to Cooking, Anime Club, and Intro to Photography.

The youth programs at the JCC continue to thrive with your support and participation! For questions or registration details, please contact the Youth Department at [email protected] or call the JCC Welcome Desk at 610-435-3571.
