Program/Building Updates (12/11/20)

On Thursday afternoon, Gov. Wolf announced new restrictions on Pennsylvania businesses and gatherings aimed at stopping the spread of Covid-19. You can view complete details of the order here (https://www.pa.gov/guides/responding-to-covid-19/#COVIDMitigationinPennsylvania). The order is in effect from Saturday, Dec. 12 until Monday, Jan. 4 at 8 a.m.

During this period of additional restrictions, the JCC's fitness center, gymnasium (including basketball and pickleball), swimming pool and squash courts are required to be closed. Our facility will only be open for childcare (early childhood, JSchool and JLounge) and programs that comply with the attendance limits on indoor gatherings.

We know that our members rely on our fitness and recreation services to stay active and healthy. At the same time, we believe strongly that it is our collective responsibility to do our part to stop the spread of Covid-19 and protect the lives of the most vulnerable in our community, as well as our front-line and health care workers. We hope that these restrictions will lead to decreased community spread in the coming weeks and allow us to reopen swiftly in the New Year while vaccine distribution is underway.

Sunday's Community Hanukkah Candle Lighting has been changed to a virtual program. Please click here for more information about the new program format. Additional information about our pivot back to online programming for our fitness department will be forthcoming shortly.
