The JCC of the Lehigh Valley offers American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim classes taught by certified instructors, designed to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their skills in the water, as well as, essential safety skills in a positive and safe environment. Choose from a variety of private and small group swim classes for preschoolers, children, adults, and seniors. We also offer Mommy and Me classes for children 6 months through 2 years and Adaptive Special Needs Swim.

Lessons follow the Red Cross Learn to Swim system with a JCC flair. Swimmers work their way through a 6 level curriculum beginning at Bubbler Level and going through Whale Level. We start with blowing bubbles and water adjustment, progress to floating, kicking and swimming on tummies and backs, and then to stroke improvement. Advanced swimmers have the opportunity to progress through an additional two levels: Fitness Swimmer and Junior Lifeguard.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

Private lessons are one-on-one with a certified instructor. To schedule private lessons, please contact Jodi Lovenwirth at 610.435.3571 ext. 118.

SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

Semi-private lessons consist of a two person group. Children can benefit from taking semi-private lessons by having more one-on-one instruction time as well as the additional moral support of a family member or friend swimming beside them.

GROUP SWIM LESSONS

In group lessons, a small ratio is maintained to ensure each child gets one-on-one time with the instructor. Group lessons are available multiple days a week, as well as, by appointment.

MOMMY AND ME (6 Months - 3 Years)

Mommy and Me classes are designed for children 6 months to three years. This class focuses on introduction to water safety for caregiver and child and having children become comfortable in the water.

TODDLER SWIM LESSONS (3 Years and Up)

Add a little splash to your day with Toddler Swim Lessons. This class is designed to help Preschool and Pre-K age children improve their skills in the water.
