Squash is a racquet sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players must alternate in striking the ball with their racquet and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court.
In late November 2014, with the support of local squash players, the JCC opened two newly converted international squash courts, the first of its kind available for public use. The squash program has flourished with more than 100 active squash players participating - whether learning the sport with a starter package or individual instruction to playing in our seasonal box leagues or our weekly clinics. The past eight months have laid the foundation for what will be a very exciting year of Squash at the J.
