The JCC’s focus on building community inspired more than 200 donors to contribute more than $125,000 to this year’s Friends of the J campaign. Linda Sheftel and Kathy Zimmerman, Friends campaign co-chairs, are excited by this year’s success. “The JCC is a community gathering place and we are excited and grateful that so many people have stepped forward to enhance its mission of inspiring the spirit of the entire community through social, education, recreation, and wellness programs instill with Jewish values, culture and traditions.”

Anonymous donors again matched new dollars given to this year’s Friends of the J campaign. They are the campaign’s highest donors, and their generosity and matching support inspires others to give. Andy Kahn, JCC president, notes, “The importance of our anonymous matching gift donors to the success of the Friends of the J campaign cannot be over-stated. We are incredibly grateful for their support, leadership and sustained commitment to the JCC and to our community.”

Jeff Rembrandt, JCC Executive Director, adds, “Many of us depend greatly on the company of true friends. At the J, we do too. Your support for the Friends campaign means a lot and like a good friend should, the J strives to be the best it can be for its members and its community. We are listening to your ideas and suggestions, and are dedicated to continuing to work together with you to build the community that you want to see at the J and in the Lehigh Valley. The J will soon celebrate its centennial and we look forward to being here to serve our community for the next century and beyond. Thank you for your support and your friendship.”
